
At the Alexandria Area YMCA, we know that motivating yourself to go to the gym is hard, especially when you have a jam-packed schedule.
However, if maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important to you, you have to work to find the time. To help, the YMCA has carefully placed some of our favorite Group Exercise classes in time slots that you can work into your 8 to 5 workday this summer.
For the Early Birds

Cycling | Mondays at 5:10 a.m.
Studio A
First thing, Monday morning, our Executive Director, Jackie, will kick off your work week with a high-energy cycling class for all levels.
Les Mills CORE | Tuesdays at 5:10 a.m.
Studio A
Build strength, stability, and endurance with a mix of core exercises. This class is led by a virtual instructor.
BREW | Wednesdays at 5:10 a.m.

Barb will lead you as you rotate through intervals of indoor cycling, running, and strength training designed to build endurance, boost your metabolism, and challenge every major muscle group.

An all-time favorite here at the YMCA, BODYPUMP is the ideal workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. You set the weight and intensity, making it great for all fitness levels.
Tabata Circuit | Thursdays at 5:10 a.m.

Head into the weekend with a fresh Tabata Circuit with new exercises and equipment each week.
Maximize Your Lunch Break
These 30-minute classes allow you to crush your workout and be back in the office for your 1:00 meeting.
TRX | Mondays at 12:15 p.m.

Tammi's circuit class will have you moving start to finish. The variety of exercises will keep your workouts feeling fresh and exciting.
