This is a part-time position working Tuesdays and Thursdays 1pm - 5pm plus 1 evening shift per week.

Your Role as a Front Desk Staff Member

As a Front Desk Staff member, you will be the welcoming face of the YMCA. Your role is essential in creating a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere for all members, guests, and program participants. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
  • Conducting interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; selling memberships.
  • Building relationships with members; helping members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  • Handling and resolving membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  • Appling all YMCA policies and procedures with member services.
  • Distributing membership supplies as needed.
  • Monitoring member code of conduct and facility use as required.

Qualifications

  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
  • Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computers.

Pay

  • $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
