Swim, Sports & Play

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active and developing healthy habits they'll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it's gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out. We offer great programs like:

YMCA Indoor Hitting League - NEW!
Teams of 4 players will compete against each other to score as many points as possible in 5 inning games. A game consists of 200 swings total (100 swings/team). Each player gets 5 swings per inning. The goal is to hit balls at targets in the cage to score points. The team with the highest point total at the end of 5 innings is the winner. Each team plays a single 50 minute game each week-schedule will be sent out the week prior to league beginning.

Find 4 players that are interested in competing on a team together; fill out registration form on-line, or at the YMCA for each player. Teams should designate a 5th player as a reserve. If a team competes with only three players one week, the lowest total points scored by a league player that week is added to the team's score.
