Jenny Johnson

Early Childhood Operations Coordinator

Jenny joined the Alexandria Area YMCA team in 2009, as the YMCA Child Care Early Childhood Coordinator. Jenny was employed with Young People's Place Child Care center for 15 years prior to merging with the YMCA.

Jenny received an AAS in Child Development and Supervisory Management from Alexandria Technical College. Jenny also holds certification as a Child Developmental Assistant, and in Child Care Administration, Advanced Technical and Director's Credentials.

Jenny is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the YMCA early childhood program. She also serves on various community Early Childhood/Child Development advisories and committees.

Jenny and her husband Nick live in Alexandria, with their two sons Trenton and Ryan. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, four-wheeling, stamping, quilting, and ice fishing. Jenny also sells Cookie Lee Jewelry.
